The Bellevue West Wind Ensemble is comprised of 46 students in grades 9-12. Selection into the ensemble is determined by auditions in the spring. The ensemble meets daily and performs in three concerts and district music festival. The Wind Ensemble has consistently received superior ratings at the district music festival. Each member of the Wind Ensemble has one sectional a week that takes place before school. A number of students in the ensemble study privately. Several members have also participated in the Nebraska All-State Band, Jazz Band and Orchestra, UNL Winter Winds and Percussion, Wesleyan Honor Band, and UNO Honor Band.
